My Independent Works

Hi I'm Mat creator and designer of Galactic Gateway. From creating Herbal Glycerites to abstract artworks (traditional and digital), abstract UV active and glow-in the-dark T-Shirt designs, jewellery, and string art; I love to fly between various mediums to keep my creativity flowing!

I have a deep passion for researching and growing a vast array of medicinal plants as well as the connection and empowerment in the process of creating medicine from them. I have worked with alcoholic and non-alcoholic extraction mediums as well as pure essential oil extraction, culinary herbal infusions, and topical oil infusions (including massage oils, balms and salves). My medicinal journey is continiously growing (like the plants I grow themselves) and so I hope to also grow and improve this website to better provide the medicines I create along the journey. There sure is a lot of work involved.

Within this website I also share an array of my personal visual artworks. Throughout the production of these artworks and designs I aim to express multidimensional energy and stories through abstract visual representation. This is done utilizing energy-dowsing line work, aided with colour, shadow, light, and mixed dimensional concepts as tools for expression. Many of these works have been produced with the use of Copic Markers as a preferred colouring medium (See Traditional Art), and other designs have been modeled in sketches and then digitalized with graphic design software. This allows me to reproduce and apply symbols in various works to a different effect (See Digital Art).

Another creative medium featured here is my Photography. Within this medium I favor Astro, and Nature/Macro photography for it allows me another to deeply delve into and appreciate the beauty of nature; that which often goes unobserved during everyday busy lifestyles of human society. Festival photography is a photo subject I also deeply enjoy, with many collaborative events that often bring together so many creative minded free spirited people that embody so much love and personality, into a beautiful sensory and connective experience out in nature. Often providing a vast array of beautiful experiences to be enjoyed, captured, and shared with others.
